Keikewabik Lake
10 minutes flight time
Keike is a short flight from base camp and about 5 - 6 miles long and 1/3 - 1/2 mile wide. It has a sandy bottom, several long weed beds and rocky points. Keike is one of our easiest lakes to fish and excellent fishing starts at the long weed bed just off the dock.
It has a long, gradual tapering of the sandy bottom and depths of not much more than 35 feet. A perfect lake for families with children wanting to spend more time reeling in fish and less time getting out snags. And an excellent lake for large groups looking to have fast action on walleye and pike fishing.
The cabin was rebuilt all new in 2008 and has 3 bedrooms and 10 beds. There are 5 - 14 foot boats equipped with 2-stroke 15 hp Mercury motors - all gas included, Boats have padded swivel boat seats with back rests.
Cabin amenities include:
- 2 propane refrigerators
- 4 burner gas stove with oven
- propane BBQ grill
- screened porch
- electric lighting
- hot and cold water
- indoor shower
- satellite phone communication with base camp
- large cooler to hold block ice (provided by camp at no charge)
- fish cleaning house (screened in)
- propane fish cooker and shore lunch pan for outside fish frying.
To ensure quality fishing for years to come, all walleyes over 18" must be released & all northern pike over 27 1/2" must be released.
